Technology, Media & Telecommunications Logistics

Onsite Global Logistics (OGL) coordinates domestic transport and international freight forwarding for the technology, media, and telecommunications sectors. We support the movement of broadcast equipment, production gear, and telecom infrastructure for temporary projects, events, and permanent installations, utilizing air, ocean, and ground transport options to align with project schedules.

Coordinating Broadcast and Production Equipment Transport

The movement of television, film, and media equipment requires detailed planning to support production schedules and event timelines. OGL coordinates the transportation of cameras, lighting, sound equipment, set dressing, and specialized gear across domestic and international routes. We review project requirements to identify appropriate transport modes, whether utilizing air freight for time-sensitive deliveries or ground transport for regional moves. Our logistics coordinators work to align transport schedules with the specific needs of production crews, supporting the availability of necessary equipment at filming locations.

Our team requests and transmits necessary documentation to support the movement of cases, crates, and oversized production assets. We coordinate with qualified providers to handle the physical transport, aiming to align delivery schedules with production timelines. For international shoots, we support the preparation of documentation required for temporary imports, such as carnets. OGL is not a customs broker and does not make customs or regulatory determinations; when brokerage is requested, we coordinate destination handoffs through appropriately licensed alliance providers. We record shipment details and communicate with project managers to support visibility throughout the transport process.

Telecommunications Infrastructure Logistics

Telecommunications projects often involve the deployment of sensitive electronics, antennas, cabling, and supporting infrastructure to various sites, including remote or difficult-to-access locations. OGL provides procurement support and coordinates the logistics for these materials, from origin facilities to final installation sites. We compare transport options to identify suitable carriers for delicate technology components and bulky infrastructure materials. Our team reviews the specifications of the equipment to request appropriate handling procedures from our network of transport providers.

We coordinate global shipping for telecommunications equipment, recording shipment details and tracking progress across the supply chain. Our logistics coordinators review site access requirements and request specialized transport equipment, such as flatbeds or lift-gate trucks, from our network of qualified providers to support delivery to cell towers, data centers, and broadcast facilities. We coordinate the scheduling of deliveries to align with the availability of installation crews and site readiness.

Temporary Projects, Events, and Returns

Media events, trade shows, and temporary telecommunications deployments require logistics plans that account for both the outbound delivery and the return of equipment. OGL coordinates round-trip transportation for temporary projects, supporting the movement of assets to the event site and their subsequent return to origin or forwarding to the next location. We record inventory lists and transmit shipping instructions to carriers to support the tracking of rented or leased equipment. Our coordination efforts aim to support the timely setup and teardown of temporary installations.

For international events, we coordinate with alliance providers to support the temporary import and export processes. We review documentation to identify potential issues before shipment and request necessary transport services to align with event schedules and venue access windows. We coordinate the return transportation of assets, requesting appropriate transport modes to support the return of equipment to rental houses, studios, or corporate facilities.

Logistics Support for Technology Deployments

The deployment of new technology systems, whether for corporate IT upgrades or large-scale media installations, requires coordinated logistics to support phased rollouts. OGL coordinates the consolidation and transportation of technology assets, supporting the delivery of components according to project schedules. We request transport services that align with the handling requirements of sensitive electronics and IT equipment. Our team coordinates the movement of servers, networking gear, and related hardware to support technology infrastructure projects.

Our team records shipment milestones and transmits updates to project managers, supporting visibility throughout the deployment process. We coordinate with domestic and international carriers to support the distribution of technology assets to multiple locations, reviewing transport plans to identify efficiencies in the supply chain. We support the coordination of deliveries to align with the schedules of IT teams and integration specialists.

Technology and Media Logistics Coordination

OGL supports technology, media, and telecommunications projects through structured logistics coordination, utilizing our network of qualified providers to support the movement of specialized equipment.
