01

Why the Delivery Model Matters

In complex industrial projects, the risk of delay, damage, or cost overrun increases with every unmanaged interface. When multiple vendors, carriers, and facilities operate in silos, communication breaks down, and critical milestones are missed. A fragmented approach forces your procurement and project teams to spend their time chasing updates instead of managing the core project scope.

The traditional logistics model often relies on passive tracking systems and reactive problem-solving. This approach is insufficient for capital projects where a single delayed component can disrupt the entire construction schedule. OGL recognizes that successful project execution requires active management, clear communication, and a deep understanding of the technical and commercial requirements of the cargo.

By integrating procurement coordination with global logistics, OGL bridges the gap between suppliers and site operations. We ensure that the right information reaches the right people at the right time, reducing the burden on your internal teams and minimizing the risk of costly surprises.

02

OGL’s Operating Approach

OGL provides a single point of accountability for your project logistics and procurement coordination. We do not rely on passive dashboards to solve problems. Our senior-led team actively manages the interfaces between suppliers, transport providers, and site operations. We anticipate bottlenecks, verify readiness, and ensure that every party understands their role in the delivery schedule.

Our operating approach is built on the principle of personal accountability. We believe that technology should support, not replace, human expertise and direct communication. When you partner with OGL, you gain a dedicated team that understands your project objectives and is committed to achieving them.

We tailor our services to match the specific requirements of your project, whether you need end-to-end logistics management or targeted support for critical shipments. Our scalable execution model allows us to mobilize the right resources for the cargo, location, and scope, ensuring that you receive fit-for-purpose solutions without unnecessary overhead.

03

Responsibilities and Accountability

OGL gives your project a clear communication and escalation path. Our team personally follows the suppliers, facilities, carriers, and delivery parties responsible for each milestone. When something changes, we do not wait for a dashboard to explain the problem. We contact the people involved, identify the available options, and bring the decision to your team.

Single Point of Contact

You will know exactly who owns the next step. OGL assigns a dedicated project manager to oversee your entire scope. This individual serves as your primary liaison, ensuring that all communication is streamlined and that your requirements are clearly understood and executed by the entire project team.

Active Supplier Follow-Up

We communicate directly with your vendors to confirm manufacturing progress, document readiness, and packing schedules. By actively monitoring supplier performance, we can identify potential delays early and implement corrective actions before they impact the overall project schedule.

Exception Management

When deviations occur, we contact the responsible parties, identify solutions, and present clear options to your team. We understand that complex projects rarely go exactly as planned, and our team is equipped to handle unexpected challenges with agility and professionalism.

Scope Control

We ensure that all execution partners operate strictly within the approved project parameters and regulatory requirements. OGL maintains structured oversight of the entire logistics chain, verifying that all activities are performed in accordance with your specifications and industry best practices

06

Controls and Communication

OGL implements structured controls to maintain visibility and compliance throughout the project lifecycle. We utilize a comprehensive suite of documents and procedures to ensure that every aspect of the logistics process is carefully planned, executed, and documented.

Control Document Purpose and Application
Project Execution Plans (PEP) Customized strategies detailing routing, handling requirements, and communication protocols for the entire project scope.
Method Statements Step-by-step procedures for critical lifts, heavy transport, and complex operations, ensuring safety and precision.
Inspection and Release Protocols Coordination of third-party inspections and verification of release documentation before cargo movement is authorized.
Status Reporting Regular, structured updates on milestone achievements, schedule variances, and critical path items, tailored to your reporting requirements.

These controls provide a framework for consistent execution and enable us to maintain a high level of quality and safety across all project activities. By standardizing our processes and documentation, we reduce the risk of errors and ensure that all stakeholders have access to accurate and timely information.

05

Qualified-Partner Flow-Down

OGL assembles and manages fit-for-purpose execution teams using qualified carriers, facilities, packing specialists, surveyors, and technical service providers. Each partner is selected for the cargo, location, regulatory requirements, and approved project scope, while OGL maintains the client communication and reporting structure.

We ensure that all necessary licenses, certifications, and safety standards are verified across the alliance network. OGL does not claim to hold certifications that belong to our partners; instead, we leverage their specialized expertise to deliver comprehensive solutions. For example, specialized regulated or certified functions are performed through qualified alliance carriers or service partners holding the authorizations required for their assigned scope.

Our primary hub is Houston, Texas. For other origins and destinations, we coordinate vetted alliance partners selected for the local requirements and approved scope. This scalable approach allows us to provide global coverage while maintaining the high standards of quality and accountability that define the OGL delivery model.
