What to include
A useful request for quotation or project discussion normally starts with the information below. If a detail is not yet known, explain what is still being confirmed.
- Origin and destination: Include the pickup and delivery city, state, country, port, or facility when known.
- Cargo: Describe the equipment, material, purchase, or shipment and identify any special handling requirements.
- Size: Provide pieces, weight, dimensions, container count, or other available quantity information.
- Timing: State the ready date, required delivery window, project milestone, or operational urgency.
- Scope: Explain whether you need transportation only or support with procurement, suppliers, consolidation, documentation, or destination coordination.
