Amazon and E-commerce Logistics
Onsite Global Logistics coordinates commercial freight for Amazon sellers and other e-commerce businesses that need help moving inventory from suppliers to a warehouse, preparation provider, distribution point, or approved fulfillment destination. The work begins with the seller’s account requirements, cargo facts, importer readiness, routing, and delivery instructions.
OGL is independent from Amazon and does not operate Amazon Seller Central, approve listings, determine fulfillment eligibility, or approve acceptance at an Amazon facility. The seller remains responsible for following current marketplace and fulfillment-program requirements.
Service Scope
Freight coordination before inventory reaches the fulfillment network
Supplier pickup and origin planning
Coordinate cargo readiness, collection details, packing information, export documents, origin handling, and the handoff to the selected international or domestic provider.
Ocean FCL or LCL
Compare dedicated full-container capacity with shared less-than-container-load service using shipment volume, weight, packaging, schedule, handling, destination costs, and warehouse requirements.
Air freight
Review airport routing, chargeable weight, dimensions, screening, battery or dangerous-goods status, cargo documents, destination handling, and final-delivery constraints.
Warehouse and prep interfaces
Coordinate with approved third-party facilities for receipt, inspection, labeling, palletization, storage, consolidation, transloading, or release when those services are included in the scope.
Final-mile appointment planning
Review delivery instructions, reference numbers, appointments, equipment, pallet and labeling rules, receiving windows, and proof-of-delivery requirements with the selected provider.
Overflow and project support
Support sellers and companies that need temporary freight, supplier-follow-up, inventory-staging, or distribution coordination without adding a full internal logistics position.
Before Requesting Freight
Confirm the commercial and fulfillment responsibilities first
A freight booking does not by itself make inventory ready for Amazon or another marketplace. Before transport is quoted, the seller should confirm the destination program, receiving instructions, product listing status, labeling and packaging requirements, inventory references, delivery method, and any appointment process that applies at the time of shipment.
For imported goods, identify the seller, supplier, buyer, exporter, importer of record, customs broker, consignee, preparation facility, and final receiving location. The named importer must be eligible and prepared to meet its obligations. OGL does not act as the importer of record and does not determine product admissibility, classification, duty, tax, licensing, marking, or marketplace compliance.
FCL, LCL, or Air
Choose the transport method from the cargo facts
Full container load (FCL) generally means the shipper uses a dedicated container, subject to equipment, carrier, weight, loading, and routing limits. It may fit larger volumes or cargo that benefits from fewer consolidation handoffs. Review the FCL planning page for the information needed to evaluate a container move.
Less than container load (LCL) combines cargo from multiple shippers within a consolidated ocean movement. It can fit smaller shipments, but the comparison should include origin handling, consolidation, destination deconsolidation, minimum charges, packaging, transit variability, and warehouse delivery. Review the LCL planning page before assuming it is the lowest total-cost option.
Air freight may be considered when schedule is more important than the typical ocean option, but price is based partly on chargeable weight and cargo acceptance. Large, dense, battery-powered, dangerous, high-value, or temperature-sensitive goods require additional review. See Air Freight for the qualification information.
Shipment Readiness
Information OGL needs to review an Amazon or e-commerce move
- Seller and destination: Seller account context, destination program, ship-to facility, preparation provider if used, and current receiving instructions.
- Product and cargo: Commodity, SKU or description, country of origin, quantity, dimensions, gross weight, value, packaging, pallet details, photos, and battery or dangerous-goods status.
- Commercial parties: Supplier, buyer, exporter, importer of record, customs broker, consignee, fulfillment destination, and billing party.
- Documents: Packing list, commercial invoice, classifications if known, safety data, certificates, permits, listing or delivery references, and facility labels that apply.
- Timing: Supplier-ready date, requested departure or pickup, inventory need date, appointment constraints, and any promotion or launch dependency.
- Handling: Origin loading, warehouse receipt, inspection, labeling, palletization, storage, transloading, delivery equipment, unloading, and proof-of-delivery requirements.
Coordinated Workflow
From supplier readiness to the approved receiving point
1. Qualify
OGL reviews the cargo, parties, route, documents, timing, program instructions, and unresolved compliance or handling questions.
2. Plan
The proposed scope identifies the mode, providers, origin and destination handoffs, warehouse or preparation steps, delivery requirements, and responsibilities.
3. Coordinate
After approval and provider acceptance, OGL communicates shipment information and monitors agreed milestones with the parties included in the scope.
4. Close the record
Available transport documents, warehouse confirmations, delivery references, and proof of delivery are organized for the shipment file.
Important Boundaries
Marketplace, importer, and customs decisions remain with the responsible parties
Amazon and other marketplaces can change program, labeling, routing, appointment, and receiving requirements. Sellers should confirm current instructions within their own authorized systems before each shipment and provide those instructions to OGL and the selected providers.
OGL is not a customs broker. Customs brokerage may be coordinated through appropriately licensed alliance providers when requested. OGL does not determine tariff classification, valuation, duty, tax, product admissibility, importer eligibility, export-control status, marketplace approval, or legal compliance.
Request a Shipment Review
Share the product, supplier, destination, and current fulfillment instructions
If the cargo details are still being developed, identify what is confirmed and what requires review. Attach only the documents needed for the initial freight discussion and do not send payment-card, banking, passport, or other unnecessary sensitive data.
